Huge, slamming gong, very long and unprocessed mostly but slightly cut off at the end. "recorded with two akg c3000s in x/y format, through a replica of an old british tube pre-amp".
Cool effect made by dragging a rubber tipped mallet across the gong, instead of striking it. Creates a soft eerie atmosphere. Gear: 2x akg 451eb,2x rdl stm-2, casio da-1 dat.
Recorded my 30" chau gong in the local church. It's tuned to ~91hz (around f/f#2). 4 mic setup:. Large d condensers for l/r channels (2)d112 for bass (1)røde ntg2 environment (2).
Warm gong. Here is the official alternative soundfile which has less high frequencies, especially a little bit after the attack. Https://freesound. Org/people/veiler/sounds/537206/.
Hitting another metallic tray several times. A more sturdy/dry sound with less hang time. The sound is reminiscent of a thick bell or gong. Mic: schoeps c-mit 5.
Resounding bell similar to church bell. To use please consider buying me a coffee https://ko-fi. Com/ganesha. Much appreciated! all the best in your sound projects!.
Several hits on a wok pan lid produced these low pitched metallic rings that were interesting to me. I used a soft foam insulation piece to hit the lid and recorded it with a zoom h5.
Some bell sounds from huddersfield's church (isolated and as recorded) and durham cathedralused here originally: https://soundcloud. Com/evil-ear/great-britain. Enjoy and sorry about that noise floor. Evil ear.
This is a fantastically clean stereo recording of a paste gong that was about 3 feet in diameter. Recorded in a very dry room with a mid-sides mic setup. Mics used were akg 414, and an oktava mk-012-01 pencil condenser.
This is a clean stereo recording of a oddly shaped gong with some stones resting inside it. Recorded in a very dry room with a mid-sides mic setup. Mics used were akg 414, and an oktava mk-012-01 pencil condenser.
This is a recording of a burmese temple plate bell/gong. My parents bought this instrument for me. It comes from the samples i made whilst making the music for the show 'little leap forward' by horse + bamboo theatre company in 2009.

Made up by layering 3 additive synthesized spectrum sounds ran them through several stages of different audio dsp configurations. Fl studio 20. 8 used in the process.
I took the sound "arpasauro atmo" from thalamus_lab and stretched it + fading in and out, because i needed a longer version. I just love the atmosphere it creates! the gong at the beginning transmuted into some kind of a mystical choir and at the end the short squeaking turned into some kind of a slow door groan. . Maybe you can use it too!. Https://freesound. Org/people/thalamus_lab/sounds/237872/.
